Stop Asian Gangs Program

Stop Asian Gangs Program

Dear Bay Area netters and residents,

The below scheduled town meeting is a direct result of a previous meeting between the city officials and a group of concerned members of the Vietnamese American community on 3/15/95.

The city officials has agreed to grant us our own meeting with them to voice our concerns regarding the Vietnamse-American gang violence and home burglary issues.

If you live in the Bay Area and getting tired of hearing only Vietnamese names on the news relating to home burglaries and gang violence, this is your chance to show your concern. Just being at the meeting, you and the rest of us would make a strong statement to the city that we, as Vietnamese-American, do care about the problem and do want to change the perception of apathy that our community has shown in the past.

Please help demonstrate the Vietnamese community need to San Jose city officials and show your support for this effort by filling the room on 4/6/95.

We hope to at least achieve 2 goals:

  1. Get more funding to organizations that help alleviate the gang problem.

  2. Get the attention of the city officials that we deserve as a significant minority of the city population.

Please tell a friend.
